29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1):29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. (a) On or about 09-22-2020 and times prior thereto located at Fort Belvoir - Dept. of the Army Security Guards; 9820 Flagler Rd. Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, in the Tulley and Pence Gate, employees were exposed to walking-working surfaces that were not kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Rusty floors were present, cables and wiring nested on floors, and curled up floor covering in the Tulley Gate Lane #2. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2):29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces are corrected or repaired before an employee uses the walking-working surface again. The employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard is guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired. (a) On or about 09-22-2020 and times prior thereto located at Fort Belvoir - Dept. of the Army Security Guards; 9820 Flagler Rd. Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, at the Kingman Gate, employees were exposed to slip/trip/fall hazards from the gate entrance step that was severely eroded and damaged. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
