29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings shall be effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment. At a jobsite located at or near 560 SW 1151, Montrose, MO, employees were exposed to 120 volts of electrical shock hazards when coverings were missing or broken on electrical outlet and electrical switch boxes. 1) In the main production area, five electrical outlets (120 volts) were missing face plates. 2) In the shipping area, four electrical outlets and/or switches (120 volts) were missing face plates. One electrical outlet had a damaged face plate that contained a hole.

29 CFR 1910.305(d)(2):Panelboard enclosures. Panelboards shall be mounted in cabinets, cutout boxes, or enclosures designed for the purpose and shall be dead front. However, panelboards other than the dead front externally-operable type are permitted where accessible only to qualified persons. At a jobsite located at or near 560 SW 1151, Montrose, MO, employees were exposed to 240 volts of electrical shock hazards when a circuit breaker was missing the front cover. 1) In the main production area, a circuit breaker box (240 volts) was missing the front cover.
