1926.451(c)(2)  Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames,  or uprights did not bear on base plates, mud sills or other adequate firm foundation:   a) At the EU2 West courtyard,  Thrive by Waterman construction site  employees painting the building were using a pump jack with bottom of the pumpjack resting on small wooden pieces without any gripping mechanism. Employees were exposed to a 35 foot fall, observed on or about 10/21/2020.

29 CFR  1926.452(j)(2):Poles were not secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary.  a) At the EU2 West courtyard,  Thrive by Waterman construction site  employees painting the building were using a pump jack without it being secured to the building. Employees were exposed to a 35 foot fall, observed on or about 10/21/2020.
