29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.  2212 Hiram Ct., Wheaton, IL 60189: on or about November 4, 2020, employees engaged in house re-roofing work were exposed to fall hazards up to about 18 feet because fall protection/prevention systems were not used to ensure safety.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).  Placido Soto was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1429804, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 5, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 610 N. 2nd Ave, Maywood, IL 60153.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.   2212 Hiram Ct., Wheaton, IL 60189: on or about November 4, 2020, the employer failed to ensure that an effective training program in fall hazard recognition and elimination was provided to employees engaged in house re-roofing work. Employees were exposed to fall hazards up to about 18 feet because fall protection/prevention systems were not used to ensure safety.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
