29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles:  New townhome construction located on Lot #11 at 300 Walker Avenue, Roswell, GA 30076, Front side: On or about 01/06/2021, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards while using pneumatic nail guns, in that protective eyewear was not provided to employees operating these tools at 130 PSI engaged in siding installation activities on the dormer. Employees were exposed to collated metal and plastic fragments and fasteners with each pull of the trigger as no protective eyewear was provided before using this equipment.

29 CFR  1926.451(g)(1)(vii): Each employee on a scaffold, not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above lower level was not protected from falls by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section:   New townhome construction located on Lot #11 at 300 Walker Avenue, Roswell, GA 30076, Front side pump jack scaffold: On or about 01/06/2021, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 19-feet to the lower level, in that a fall protection system was not provided to employees engaged in siding activities on a pump jack scaffold system which was not provided with mid and side rails.

Employees performing this work activity and cutting siding materials without engineering controls combined with PPE when necessary were potentially exposed to silica.
