29 CFR  1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids:   (a)Energy Management Solutions, Inc. at 901 Redwood Avenue in Onida, SD 57564: On or about and at times prior to February 25, 2021, the employer did not ensure that employees transferring Sodium Hydroxide 50% to a intermediate bulk container utilized appropriate eye protection.  Employees performing this task wore safety glasses that did not provide adequate splash protection from the caustic liquid; the safety data sheet for 50% Sodium Hydroxide specifies use of tight sealing safety goggles for eye protection. This condition exposed employees to eye hazards.
