29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1):Within 10 calendar days after the abatement date, the employer must certify to OSHA (the Agency) that each cited violation has been abated, except as provided in paragraph (c)(2) of this section. a) Warehouse 2: On or about 3/1/2021 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to frostbite hazards in that safety glasses were not provided to employees while replacing the propane tank on the forklift. b) Warehouse 1&2: On or about 3/1/2021, the employees were exposed to chemical hazards, in that a written hazard communication program was not implemented when employees were handling hazardous chemicals such as propane while replacing propane tanks on powered industrial trucks. c) Warehouse 1 & 2: On or about 3/1/2021, employees were exposed to chemical hazards, in that copies of safety data sheets were not readily accessible when employees were changing out propane tanks on powered industrial trucks. d) Warehouse 1 & 2: On or about 3/1/2021, the employees were exposed to chemical hazards, in that training, which would include an explanation of the safety data sheet was not provided to employees who were required to handle the replacement of propane tanks on the forklifts.
