29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:(a)(LOCATION)(IDENTIFY SPECIFIC OPERATIONS AND/OR CONDITIONS)(IDENTIFY MACHINERY OR EQUIPMENT)(THIS INCLUDES ENFORCEMENT OF PROCEDURES) On or about March 15, 2021, the employer failed to ensure that specific procedures for the hazardous energy during servicing and maintaining of equipment in the facility were in place. Employees are tasked with servicing and maintaining of equipment including but not limited to dryers and presses. Hazardous energies present on the equipment include mechanical, electrical, and thermal. Procedures were not in place with sufficient detail and adequate guidance for an authorized employee(s) to clearly understand how to safely and effectively utilize hazardous energy control measures for the particular machine or piece of equipment being serviced an/or maintained.
