29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  1) On or about March 26, 2021, the employer did not ensure there was adequate guarding over the pinch point of the Dension Engineering Co model FB4C13C23A46A68C37S05 Hydraulic Press in that one of the levers was left in the active position, preventing the need for both hands to activate the press.  2) On or about March 26, 2021, the employer did not ensure there was adequate guarding over the pinch point of the Dension Division Multipress model R065KC202D266C218A59S219 in that there was no guarding mechanism in place to keep employee's hands away from the press bits.
