29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  (a)DeWitt Companies LLC at 212 Wildcat Drive, Sioux Falls, SD 57110: On or about and at times prior to March 26, 2021, the exposing employer did not ensure that employees were trained to identify and correct fall hazards prior to working at heights greater than six feet.  Employees were conducting framing operations on a single-family home with no fall protection systems in place and had not received fall protection training. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than 10 feet.  Abatement Note: The employer shall assure that each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person qualified in the following areas:  a)	The nature of fall hazards in the work area; b)	The correct procedures for erecting, maintaining, disassembling, and inspecting the fall protection systems to be used; c)	The use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used;  d)	The role of each employee in the safety monitoring system when this system is used; e)	The limitations on the use of mechanical equipment during the performance of roofing work on low-sloped roofs; f)	The correct procedures for the handling and storage of equipment and materials and the erection of overhead protection; and g)	The role of employees in fall protection plans; h)	The standards contained in this subpart.
