The employees were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 20 1/2 feet from the roofs edge.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  A) Jeff Moore dba Jeff Moore LLC, Roofing & Siding, worksite located 153 Avilyn Lane, Oregon, Ohio, 43605:  On or about March 31, 2021, the employer did not ensure the side rails of an extension ladders being used on the side of the two story residential structure was extended at least three feet above the landing surface. Three employee were exposed to falls while using the ladder to access/egress the roof.
