29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Jobsite Corner of Heidt Ave & Ingalls St. Middletown, NY- On or about June 25, 2021, employees were utilizing an aluminum portable extension ladder for access to upper landing area that extended approximately one foot beyond the landing surface exposing employees to a fall hazard of approximately 15 feet.
