1910.134(k)(6) The basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of this section, shall be provided by the employer in any written or oral format, to employees who wear respirators when such use is not required by this section or by the employer. 29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: a) Facility - On or about 4/13/2021 to 4/26/2021, the employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine an employee's ability to use a respirator before requiring the use. The employer required RN's to wear a respirator while providing medical care to suspected and confirmed positive COVID-19 residents. b) Facility - On or about 4/13/2021 to 4/26/2021, the employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine an employee's ability to use a respirator before requiring the use.
