29 CFR  1926.651(c)(2) A stairway, ladder, ramp or other safe means of egress e located in trench excavations that are 4 feet (1.22 m) or more in depth  required more than 25 feet (7.62 m) of lateral travel for employees:  Opposite 461 Main St., Springfield, MA: On or about July 15, 2021,2 employees were observed working in this excavation which was greater than 4 feet deep , and those employees had to travel more than 170 feet to reach their means of egress.  Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).
