29 CFR  1915.1001(f)(1)(i): The employer did not perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were exposed.  A)    On or about June 15, 2021,  employees were exposed to airborne asbestos containing materials while performing needle gun and cutting operations on a 30-inch pipe located inside tank number 7 of drydock Vigilant.  Exposure to asbestos is likely to lead to the development of serious illness such as, but not limited to asbestosis or mesothelioma.  The employer had not performed the initial exposure assessment, which requires monitoring or a negative initial exposure assessment for work operation covered by this standard.
