29 CFR 1910.106(e)(6)(i): Adequate precautions were not taken to prevent the ignition of flammable vapors: Chemical Storage Room: On, or about July 26, 2021, drums of the following flammable liquids were not grounded: A.	Acetone. B.	Methanol. C.	MEK. Abatement Note: The practice of tipping upright drums of solvent on their side just prior to dispensing could generate a static charge in the liquid, especially MEK, which can accumulate and hold a charge that is not dissipated through the use of grounding. An approved top mounted pump should be used to dispense the majority of the solvent from each drum. The drums can then be tipped once to use a self-closing gravity fed valve to empty the solvent.
