29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4): Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: (a) 975 Wharf Street, SW, Kitchen: On or about August 27, 2021, where the line-of-sight to an exit sign was not clearly visible, the exit sign was broken and there was no longer a sign indicating the direction of travel to the nearest emergency exit door. 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i):The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet: (a) 975 Wharf Street , SW - On or about August 27, 2021, the employer did not compile a list of current hazardous chemicals for this establishment with product identifier for employees exposed to hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, Sani Professional Brand Table Turners No Rinse Sanitizing Wipes which contain isopropanol and Alkyl benzyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, Soaker 005 which contain Sodium Hydroxide, Quintet Chlorine Sanitizer which contain sodium hypochlorite, and Tabz Coffee equipment Cleaning Tablets which contain Sodium carbonated, disodium carbonate compound with hydrogenperoxide, polyethylene glycol and disodium metasilicate. The products are used for sanitizing, disinfecting and cleaning food service equipment and food prep items. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
