Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).

Employees who are covered by paragraph (a) of this section but who are not qualified persons were not trained in and familiar with any electrically related safety practices not specifically addressed by 1910.331 through 1910.335 but which are necessary for their safety.    a) Jobsite 319 South Street, Northborough, MA on or about September 8, 2021, an unqualified employee not trained in and familiar with any electrically related safety practices was exposed to electrical shock and burn hazards posed by a energized  13 kV overhead line while performing tree trimming activities in a Nifty SD64 aerial lift.   Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).

29 CFR  1910.333(c)(3): "Overhead lines." work being performed near overhead lines, the lines were not deenergized and grounded, or other protective measures was not provided before work is started. If the lines are to be deenergized, arrangements shall be made with the person or organization that operates or controls the electric circuits involved to deenergize and ground them. If protective measures, such as guarding, isolating, or insulating, are provided, these precautions shall prevent employees from contacting such lines directly with any part of their body or indirectly through conductive materials, tools, or equipment.  a)  Jobsite 319 South Street, Northborough, MA on or about September 8, 2021, an employee performing tree trimming work from a Nifty SD64 aerial lift was exposed to electrical shock and burn hazards from  live 13 kV overhead power lines that were not deenergized or grounded or other protective measures provided before the work was started. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).
