29 CFR  1926.651(j)(2): Protection was not provided by placing and keeping excavated or other materials or equipment at least 2 feet (.61m) from the edge of excavations, or by the use of retaining devices that were sufficient to prevent materials or equipment from falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary;  a)  8601 Roberts Drive Sandy Springs GA.: On or about 9/10/2021,  and times prior, the employer exposed employees to cave-in/entrapment hazards while working in an excavation that measured 70ft long by 30ft wide by 17-18ft deep, in that the spoil pile and excavation equipment was not kept at least 2ft from the edge of the excavation which created a deeper excavation as the spoil piles were approximately 3-4ft high.
