29 CFR  1926.651(k)(2): Where the competent person found evidence of a situation that could result in a possible cave-in, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions, exposed employees were not removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions were taken to ensure their safety.   a) Jobsite: 2201 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA - On or about September 14, 2021, the competent person was aware the excavation did not have a protective system in place to prevent the approximate 15 foot excavated walls from collapsing, and did not take precautions or removed the employees installing an underground storm water basin from exposure to collapse hazards.
