29 CFR 1926.304(d):Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe (a) New residential construction; Front Side; Lot 19: On or about 9/30/2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that, employees were cutting framing materials with a Makita (Model - 5007F, ser. #245525K) 7 1/4-inch circular saw while the guard was lodged open using a wood shim. (b) New residential construction; Front Side; Lot 19: On or about 9/30/2021, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that, employees were cutting framing materials with a Makita (Model - 5007F, ser. #98303K) 7 1/4-inch circular saw while the guard was lodged open using a wood shim.
