29 CFR  1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.  Maintenance Room:  On or about January 17, 2022, employees were replacing bottles of the  disinfectants, Virex II 256 One-Step Disinfectant Cleaner and Deodorant Quat Based Disinfectant and Crew Restroom Floor and Surface SC Non-Acid Disinfectant Cleaner,  both corrosives, from the dilution machine.  Employees are exposed to a splash hazard while changing out the bottles.  There were no suitable facilities, such as an eyewash station, in the work area of the dilution machine for the quick drenching or flushing of the eyes in the event of exposure to corrosive substances in the room.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets. The employer did not develop or implement a Hazard Communication program that included the above mentioned elements.
