29 CFR 1926.252(a): An enclosed chute of wood, or equivalent material, was not used where materials were dropped more than 20 feet to points lying outside the exterior walls of the building(s): a) On or about 11/04/2021, during the renovation of buildings located on Mount Read Boulevard, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of a materials chute for the disposal of roofing materials. Roofing materials and debris were being dropped into a dumpster exceeding 20 feet. Employees working near the waste dumpster were exposed to overhead fall hazards. A chute was not installed to effectively protect the area around the disposal dumpster. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about 11/04/2021, during the renovation of buildings located on Mount Read Boulevard, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of fall protection, during the repair and framing of an existing roof. Employees working without fall protection were exposed to falling 70 feet to lower levels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
