29 CFR  1910.28(b)(1)(i): Except as provided elsewhere in this section 29 CFR 1910.28, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i):  a) Roof - Two employees were exposed to a fall of up to approximately 25 feet while installing holiday lighting on a sloped roof where one employee was straddling the peak of the roof wearing a lifeline that was attached to the other employee working near the edge, on or about 11/18/2021.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
