ABATEMENT NOTE:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to guard the foot pedal in accordance with ANSI B11.19,  8.8.1.3, Single control safeguarding devices,  The single control device shall be designed and constructed to protect the control against unintended or inadvertent actuation.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.   The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
