The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  a. On or about December 14, 2021, located at Lot 232, Granville, Ohio 43023: the employer failed to provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. Two employees, without any training on fall hazards, conducted work on the roof of a new build residential home. The employees were exposed to a fall distance of 10 feet 2 inches to the ground level.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a. On or about December 14, 2021, located at Lot 232, Mannaseh Drive West, Granville, Ohio 43023: the employer failed to ensure employees wore safety glasses while utilizing power tools that presented struck-by hazards to the eyes and face. Employees were using pneumatic nail guns while roofing a house. The employees were not utilizing eye protection, thereby exposing employees to struck-by hazards to the eyes.
