Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards:  a)  50 Ford Lane, Butte MT:  On or about January 4, 2022 and at times prior, employees were exposed to struck by hazards while utilizing the damaged Snap On Hofmann Automotive lift serial number 2LE12AH0299 to conduct vehicle maintenance in the lube bays.  The employer failed to ensure that the automotive lifts in service were free of damaged and defective components in that the lift was being operated with faulty telescoping swing arm locks.
