Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer failed to report the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, within (24) twenty-four hours. a) Workplace, 280 Oak St., Copiague, NY: The employer did not report to OSHA within 24 hours as per the requirements of this standard the in-patient hospitalization of an employee injured during a tree felling operation on 1/12/2022; on or about 1/13/2022. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
