At the jobsite, employees operating Interchange Hitachi nail guns while performing framing activities were not wearing eye protection, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by flying objects.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.   At the jobsite, employees engaged in framing activities at a height of over 6 feet were not protected by a fall arrest system. Employees were exposed to an unprotected fall of over 20 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  At the jobsite, the employer did not provide a training program with hazard recognition and avoidance training where employees were performing framing activities above 6 feet without fall protection and exposed to fall hazards at a heights of approximately 20 feet to the ground below.
