29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.:  79 Industrial Dr., East Longmeadow, MA: On or about February 10, 2022, the employer had not provided guarding on the wire draw machine the employer had fashioned  to protect the operator when they were engaged in the production of pulled wire products at this facility.  Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19 (d) (1).
