29 CFR 1926.602(c)(1)(ii): Modifications or additions affecting the safe operation of the equipment were made without the manufacturer's written approval: Note: If such modifications or changes are made, the capacity, operation, and maintenance instruction plates, tags, or decals shall be changed accordingly:  a) At the jobsite, a wooden trash box being lifted by the JLG Rough Terrain Forklift was not made to the manufacture's specifications, exposing employees working near the box to the hazard of being struck by the box in the event of a collapse.
