Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards while operating automotive lifts:    (a) Worldwide Vintage Autos, LLC located at 4001 Forest St. Denver, CO 80216:  On 3/22/2022, the employer failed to  ensure that employees who used the company's lift when  servicing  automobiles were protected from crushing and struck-by hazards, in that six automotive lifts were not inspected by a qualified inspector at least annually to ensure that equipment reliable and could continued to be operated safely.

29 CFR  1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  (a) Worldwide Vintage Autos, LLC located at 4001 Forest St. Denver, CO 80216: On and  before 3/22/2022, the employer failed to complete an assessment to determine the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) during vehicle maintenance and repair operations. Employees who regularly use the company's bench grinders and chemicals such as, but not limited to, PB Blaster and Loctite AA 312 when servicing vehicles were potentially exposed to hazards associated with flying sparks, noise, and irritations to the eye and skin when working with chemicals.

This hazard exposed employees to injurious corrosive chemical hazards including chemical burns.

Employees who use the grinder when competing automotive maintenance and repairs were potentially exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards.

Chemicals used at the site include, but are not limited to PB Blaster, Loctite AA 312, NAPA AW-32, 5W-30 motor oil,  and National 134a refrigerant.
