Employers are required to provide fall protection for employees erecting or dismantling supported scaffolds where the installation and use of such protection is feasible and does not create a greater hazard.  a) Supported Scaffold Stair Tower:  On or about March 15, 2022:  A worker, who was participating in the erection of a supported scaffold stair tower on a sidewalk shed, was not provided with a lanyard or similar fall arrest equipment  when he was exposed to a 12 feet fall. The competent person on site did not determine the feasibility and safety of providing fall protection for employees erecting a supported scaffold.
