29 CFR  1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:  On or about May 9, 2022, an employee was not provided a hard hat while overhead hazards existed, exposing the employee to struck-by hazards. 29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  On or about May 9, 2022, employees used an extension ladder that did not extend three feet past the upper landing, exposing employees to a fall hazards of approximately 9 feet.  Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   On or about May 9, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees utilized fall protection while engaged in residential roofing activities, exposing them to falls of approximately 9 feet.   ABB Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1260185.015, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2017 (date), with respect to a workplace located at  919 Fulton St., South Elgin, IL 60177.  Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
