Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  A) 442 S Route 73 South, Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Berlin, NJ:  Employees at this location were exposed to fall from elevation hazard(s) when they were assigned to perform roofing work with no fall protection system in place.  Condition noted on or about 20APR22.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:   A) 442 S Route 73 South, Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Berlin, NJ:  At this location the employer failed to ensure hat ladders being used to access a rooftop worksite were extended at least 3 feet past the eave.   Condition observed on or about 20APR22.
