29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Because of the portable ladder's length, the ladder side rails did not extend to at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access and the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid surface. A) Roof of residential building located at 605 Pennsylvania Ave, Savannah, GA: On or about May 10, 2022, the employer exposed employees to a fall hazard, in that the ladder did not extend three feet above the landing surface and was not secured for employees that used the ladder to access the roof. B) Roof of residential building located at 607 Pennsylvania Ave, Savannah, GA: On or about May 10, 2022, the employer exposed employees to a fall hazard, in that the ladder did not extend three feet above the landing surface and was not secured for employees that used the ladder to access the roof.
