29 CFR  1926.501(b)(4)(i): Each employee on walking/working surfaces was not protected from falling through holes (including skylights), more than six feet (1.8 m) above lower levels, by personal fall arrest systems, covers, or guardrail systems erected around such holes.  (a) At 207 Riverhead Rd, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978,  employee working  on a single story low slope roof was exposed to falling 14 feet through an unprotected skylight on or about May 11, 2022.  Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  (a) At 207 Riverhead Rd, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978, a worker was exposed to a 14 foot fall hazard.  The worker was at the roof edge installing and aligning a roof gutter. There was no fall protection system utilized to protect the worker and prevent him from falling 14 feet to the ground below. On or about May 11, 2022.  Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
