29 CFR 1910.151(c):Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. On or about May 18, 2022, an employee who performs maintenance on the battery provided on the two battery powered forklifts was not provided with an eyewash within the charging areas or where he adds the water. A suitable facility for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use while employees adding water to Lead Acid Battery that contains Sulfuric Acid, thus exposing employees to potential chemical burn hazard to the eyes. 29 CFR 1910.333(a)(2):"Energized parts." If the exposed live parts are not deenergized (i.e., for reasons of increased or additional hazards or infeasibility), other safety-related work practices shall be used to protect employees who may be exposed to the electrical hazards involved. Such work practices shall protect employees against contact with energized circuit parts directly with any part of their body or indirectly through some other conductive object. The work practices that are used shall be suitable for the conditions under which the work is to be performed and for the voltage level of the exposed electric conductors or circuit parts. Specific work practice requirements are detailed in paragraph (c) of this section. a) Oven line Testing area: On or about May 18, 2022 the employer did not ensure that safety-related work practices were implemented when employees were testing energized oven equipment with exposed wires that rate between 120v and 240v.

Distances shall be measured from the live parts if they are exposed or from the enclosure front or opening if they are enclosed; Shipping and Receiving area: On or about May 18, 2022, the employer failed to keep clear an unobstructed path of at least 36 inches in front of an electrical panelboard. Electrical panels were blocked with material and equipment in the shipping and receiving area.
