Additional inspections shall be performed during sling use, where service conditions warrant. Damaged or defective slings shall be immediately removed from service. On or about May 19, 2022, the employer did not ensure synthetic web slings were inspected for damage or defects each day before or during use by a competent person designated by the employer. The employer did not ensure damaged and defective synthetic slings were immediately removed from service.
