29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.   On or about June 13, 2022,  employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 10  feet while engaged in residential framing activities.  Fall protection was not being utilized while performing the activity.  No abatement is required for this citation item.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about June 13, 2022 at jobsite located at 1312 Oakmont Ct., Sandwich, IL 60548, employees were exposed to eye injuries while installing plywood with a pneumatic nail gun.  Eye protection was not being utilized while employees engaged in this activity.  No abatement is required for this citation item.

29 CFR  1926.503(b)(1):The employer did not verify compliance with paragraph (a) of this section by preparing a written (training) certification record including the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training, and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer.  On or about June 13, 2022,  the employer failed to certify that employees had been trained to recognize and minimize fall hazards. Employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 10 feet while performing roofing activities on a residential structure without using fall protection.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
