In the trench, located at 2701 US Business 41, Palmetto, FL : On or about 8/5/2022, the employer exposed employees to engulfment hazards, in that, there was only one means of egress for the trench when its length was approximately 40 ft.

29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1)(ii):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 29 CFR 1926.652(c) of this section except when: excavations are less than 5 feet (1.52 m) in depth and examination of the ground by a competent person provides no indication of a potential cave-in. a) In the trench, located at 2701 Us Business 41, Palmetto, FL: On or about 8/5/2022, the employer exposed employees to engulfment hazards, in that, employees were conducting work in a trench that was approximately 6 ft 6 in deep without the use of a trench box.
