29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(xv): Crossbracing used in place of a midrail was unacceptable because the crossing point of two braces was not between 20 inches (0.5 m) and 30 inches ((0.8 M) above the work platform or as a toprail crossing point of two braces were not between 38 inches (0.97 m) and 48 inches (1.3 m) above the work platform.  The endpoints at each upright were more than 48 inches (1.3 m) apart.  On or about September 7, 2022, and at times prior thereto, workers were installing wire to a residential home under new construction from a scaffold where midrailing was not used. Crossbracing was between 38 inches and 48 inches, exposing workers to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet to the ground below.
