29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):"Unprotected sides and edges." An employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems."  a) Jobsite: On September 07, 2022, and at times prior thereto employees performed framing activities, which included roof sheathing, on a 4 in 12 pitched roof, without a fall protection system in place. Employees were exposed to fall hazards ranging from 15 feet at the eaves, to over 19 feet at the roofs peak.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a) Jobsite: On or about September 07, 2022, and at times prior thereto employees performing framing activities on a 4 in 12 pitched roof did not recognize and/or acknowledge the hazard of working without a fall protection system in place. The employees did not take action to minimize the hazard.
