NOTE:	Documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1918.81(k):The employer did not require that employees stay clear of the area beneath overhead drafts or descending lifting gear:    On or about 6 September 2022, at Pier #4, Autoridad del Puerto de Ponce, Area Guancha, Ponce, PR, the employer did not ensure each employee involved in longshoring operations were trained in safe work practices as evidenced by an employee operating a wheeled loader beneath a crane clamshell filled with clinker was injured when a metal sling broke falling to the bottom surface of the vessel's cargo hold hitting the loader machine with the operator inside.
