29 CFR  1910.36(g)(2): An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points.  Where there is only one exit access leading to an exit or exit discharge, the width of the exit and exit discharge must be at least equal to the width of the exit access.  The employer does not ensure that all exit accesses are at least 28 inches wide at all points.  (a) On or about September 13, 2022, the aisle from the stock room to the receiving door and fire exit was 18 inches wide due to the storage of rolltainers and merchandise randomly piled up along the walls.  (b) On or about September 13, 2022, the access from the storage area next to the break room to the stock room was 23 inches wide.  (c) On or about November 21, 2022, the access from the storage area next to the break room to the stock room was 19 inches wide.   (d) On or about November 21, 2022, the access from the break room to the stock room exit was 23 inches wide.   (e) On or about November 21, 2022, store aisle 17 was 25 inches wide at the boxes of pillows and picture frames.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a REPEAT violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535655, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on November 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 119 Business U.S. 67, Greenville, MO 63944.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited under the name Dollar General Corporation dba Dollar General #4967 for a REPEAT violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1500289, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on June 23, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 514 North Antrim Way, Greencastle, PA 17225. 29 CFR  1910.157(c)(1):The employer shall provide portable fire extinguishers and shall mount, locate and identify them so that they are readily accessible to employees without subjecting the employees to possible injury. The employer does not ensure that ensure employees are protected from potential injuries from fires when the portable fire extinguishers are blocked or not mounted.  (a) On or about September 20, 2022, the fire extinguisher at the entrance to the stock room from the store was blocked behind the open door.  (b) On or about November 21, 2022, there was a second fire extinguisher sitting on the floor, not mounted, by the entrance to the stock room from the store that was blocked by two full trash cans and some empty shopping baskets.   (c) On or about November 21, 2022, the fire extinguisher by the entrance to the stock room from the store was blocked by two full trash cans and some empty shopping baskets.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited under the name DG Retail, LLC, dba Dollar General for a REPEAT violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1555839, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 30, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 1748 US Route 1, Sullivan, ME 04664.
