The employer did not ensure containers had prominently displayed labels showing chemical name, associated hazards, and warnings. The employees were exposed to eye burns.

The employer did not provide effective hazardous chemical training specific to the tasks conducted. The employees were potentially exposed to dermal and eye damage. The Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1448229, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/18/2020, with respect to a workplace located at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake Police Department.
