Automotive lifts had not received an annual inspection in more than one year. The last inspection date was marked on several lifts as May 2020.  2. Lifts used in the diesel service area did not have installed overhead limit switches to prevent contact between vehicles the lift structure when being raised.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(ii): The employer did not establish and implement those elements of a written program necessary to ensure that any employee using a respirator voluntarily was medically able to use that respirator, and that the respirator was cleaned, stored, and maintained so that its use does not present a health hazard to the user:  (a) Detail department:  On or about October 27, 2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to hazards associated with voluntary use of respirators.  Employees used a 3M half-face elastomeric respirator with organic filter cartridges for comfort when applying Car Brite White Lightning Acid-Based Wheel Cleaner.  1. Detailers had not been provided medical evaluations prior to using a tight-fitting respirator. Use of a tight-fitting respirator without medical evaluation can worsen existing or latent health issues. 2. The respirator was stored in an open carboard box with detailing supplies inside of a supply cabinet where contamination from dusts and/or chemicals could occur.
