29 CFR  1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may have been exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall have been provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. [63 FR 33450, June 18, 1998]  On or about November 8, 2022, St. Louis Powersports, located at 1729 Chase Drive in Fenton, Missouri, did not provide suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body where battery acid was used.

On or about November 8, 2022, St. Louis Powersports, located at 1729 Chase Drive in Fenton, Missouri, did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely by completion of training.

29 CFR  1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition.  On or about November 8, 2022, St. Louis Powersports, located at 1729 Chase Drive in Fenton, Missouri,  did not remove from service a powered industrial truck in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe:  Propane-powered Toyota forklift, Model 8FGCU30, Serial 10958. The forklift was defective at the time of the inspection. The seat had been replaced with a mower seat, with no seatbelt. The brake pedal was missing a brake pad, and bare metal was exposed. The propane tank was improperly installed, with the LPG locator/index pin not engaged.

The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.  On or about November 8, 2022, an exit route of St. Louis Powersports, located at 1729 Chase Drive in Fenton, Missouri, was obstructed by recreational vehicles.
