OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from a platform supported by a powered industrial truck.  a) On or about November 14, 2022, at the previously addressed inspection site, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working from a platform that was not designed and constructed to safely support personnel and was not attached to the forks to prevent falls to lower levels while the pallet was elevated by the forks of the UniCarriers Americas Corporation forklift truck. The employees were exposed to falls of about 7 feet to the concrete surface below.  Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to comply with the American National Standards Institute/Industrial Truck Standards Development Foundation - ANSI/ITSDF B56.1-2012 - Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, Chapters 4.17 Elevating Personnel and 7.37 Platforms: Elevating.
