29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a.) CCL Container (Hermitage), Inc., Trimming area, on or about December 7th, 2022 and times prior thereto: Employees were exposed to amputation/crushing hazards from the Mall/Herlan brand Can Trimming Machine MHB H-6(Model: CTB/B; Serial #530201). The door to the trimming press was not interlocked and could be easily opened which exposed employees to various moving parts during work operations.   Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1904.10(a): Where an employee's hearing test (audiogram) revealed that the employee had experienced a work-related Standard Threshold Shift (STS) in hearing in one or both ears, and the employee's total hearing level was 25 decibels (dB) or more above audiometric zero (averaged at 2000, 3000, and 4000 Hz) in the same ear(s) as the STS, the employer did not record the case on the OSHA 300 Log:  a)	CCL Container (Hermitage), Inc., various production areas, on or about December 7th, 2022 and times prior thereto:  In 2022, twelve recordable cases of hearing loss were not recorded on the employer's 300 logs.
